Doing a moral obligation with love

The University of Swaziland (UNISWA) charity organisation, commonly abbreviated to UNICO, is a student organisation that was started by a few UNISWA students who were at the time studying for Bachelor of Commerce in 1999. They later incorporated all other students of the Kwaluseni Campus up until 2004/05 when the organisation branched out to embody the other campuses of UNISWA. Today the organisation exists in all of UNISWA's three campuses Kwaluseni, Mbabane and Luyengo.

We, the students of The University of Swaziland realize the hard conditions under which the elderly
and children of Swaziland are subjected to, moreover we realize our duty and we are commitment to
social responsibility in our communities.  

What we do

The organisation's main objective is to heal the under privileged around the country. We have three main things that we do. 1. Our main project is, we locate a needy home where they have poor housing and try and re-build a house for them. 2.We fund students in our school who we see as underprivileged 3. We donate basic things i.e. food, clothing, exercise books etc., to needy homesteads, orphanage or any other place where we feel help is needed.

Management and accountability 

Organisational management is changed every academic year and the president is selected through voting. The organisation currently does not have sponsors but relies on student's financial capabilities.

To help in whatever possible way in alleviating poverty particularly in rural Swaziland.
